About CHARLESCANTBREATHE

CHARLESCANTBREATHE is a Queer-Fronted Indie-Grunge project based in London, UK. Former solo project Charlie Raphael-Campbell morphed into live band Charles & The Big Boys in 2017, but both existed alongside each other until 2022 when they both merged to become the funky, grungy, sentimental, good-humoured project it is today.  Merging shy, thoughtful melodies with fast-paced blues riffs, CHARLESCANTBREATHE is eclectic as eclectic gets. Their first single as a new project, 'Nessie', came out on June 9th 2023 and is the first single off of their upcoming EP 'Maybe Time Will Allow Me To Outlive My Mind.' 'Nessie' was named the 'indie tune of the summer' by BBC Radio London's Alice Dale, when it was featured as their rising artist pick of the week.

CHARLESCANTBREATHE have performed in some incredible places during their career, including a live performance in Studio 3 at Abbey Road Studios, when lead singer, Charlie, won a songwriting competition and landed a 1-week residency at the studio. Other venues include The Elgar Room at The Royal Albert Hall, Adidas Carnaby Street for Record Store Day 2022, and The Camden Assembly, to name a few.
